Ashton United have signed up for Ecologi a carbon offsetting company that creates bespoke plans for companies and households to be more environmentally positive and work towards becoming carbon neutral.
The aim of the club is to become more environmentally friendly and help to reduce CO2 emissions. From now on the club will be making a net contribution to improving the environment.
So far the club has created a 9.71tonne reduction in carbon, this equates to 7 long haul flights, 24000 miles in a car or 29 square metres of sea ice saved.
Furthermore, Ashton United Football Club has so far planted 172 real trees in their forest!
