Robins Looking to appoint a Non-Executive CEO to the Board

18 months on from a change in circumstances, and with the reconstituted Executive Board firmly established, Ashton United is looking to make a key appointment to lead the operational aspects of the club.

Joint Chairman David Burke said, ‘Jonathan and I have had a good opportunity to ‘get under the skin’ of the club. It’s been a steep learning curve but we now feel we are in a good position to bring about change that will strengthen the viability and performance of the whole business. We wish to appoint a Non-Executive CEO to the Board, in a voluntary capacity, to drive our vision for the future.’

Ashton United is looking for an experienced individual, perhaps retired or semi-retired, with commitment and the ‘time on their hands’, to shape the vision of the club with the help of the Executive Board, Management, volunteers, and fans.

A full person and job specification can be found on the club website.

Interested parties should, in the first instance, contact Vice Chairman, Steve Hobson by email ( including covering letter and CV.
