Biography: Worsnop brings valuable experience and leadership to Ashton United having made over 100 appearances across various clubs. In his time with Chester, Worsnop kept 12 clean sheets in 42 appearances in the Conference. Additionally, he kept another 8 clean sheets across 38 games in the National League over the span of 2 seasons.

Biography: Lloyd Allinson was born in Rothwell where he played for their youth team before moving to Huddersfield Town’s youth team before breaking through to Huddersfield’s first team in 2010. Making one appearance for them in the Championship during the 2015/16 season. With the experience Allinson has in goal it provides healthy competition for Jody to choose from in net.

Biography: Carnell brings valued experience to this Robin’s side. Having played over 150 times for FC united of Manchester alone of which within that time Carnell picked up two awards for his keeping skills. David also achieved promotion with the Robins back in 2018.

Biography: Gianluca ‘Luca’ Havern began his football career in Stockport County’s youth system where he became captain of the under 18 side. Since then Havern has played for multiple non-league clubs at Ashton and numerous other clubs, gaining countless experience along the way before returning to Hurst Cross.

Biography: Obeng began his career with Manchester City's youth system and played in the team that lost to Liverpool in the 2006 FA Youth Cup Final. Going on to sign a two-year professional contract With Manchester City before being released at the end of the season 2008/09 season. Obeng then went on to play for then, premier league side Swansea along with 5 experiences in England’s system. Obeng also has extensive experience across all leagues accumulating around 150 competitive apps with 2 goals.

Biography: Sam Sheridan, a veteran of non-league football, joined Ashton United in January 2018 and has been an integral part of the Robin’s midfielder ever since, providing energy and experience. Football is a major part of the Sheridan family, with his uncles being former footballer and current Chesterfield manager John Sheridan and former footballer Darren Sheridan, who played for teams such as Oldham and Wigan Athletic.

Biography: John Lufudu joined Ashton in October after impressing against the Robins in the FA Cup 1st qualifying round for Tadcaster. Lufudu is a versatile player who can play on the wing or at the back.

Biography: Gonzales is currently on loan for Ashton United until January 2020, after signing for Oldham Athletic in July 2019. Gonzales previous appearance for Oldham was a match against Accrington Stanley in Football League Trophy, where Oldham were beat 0-3. Gonzales also played the match against Liverpool Academy, where they won 3-2. Gonzales had also featured in pre-season matches for Oldham against Rochdale in the Ernie Cooksey Trophy, as well as playing Ashton United and Stockport County.

Biography: Liam Tomsett began his career with Blackpool, He made his first-team debut in the third round of the 2010–11 FA Cup, against Southampton on 8th January 2011. He made an impression that season, winning the club’s Young Player of the Year. After multiple loan and permanent moves, Tomsett signed for Ashton United in 2017 after leaving local rivals Curzon Ashton. Tomsett scored 5 goals in 38 games during Ashton United’s 2018/19 Vanarama National League North campaign.

Biography: Connor Hughes is a new signing at Ashton United, having joined for the 2019/20 season from Curzon Ashton, scoring 2 goals in 18 appearances for our local rivals last year. The English midfielder began his career with Oldham Athletic, making his first team debut as a substitute on 17th March 2012. Arguably his most prominent spell came with Hyde between 2013-2015, where he scored 10 league goals in 62 appearances.

Biography: Plying his trade as a midfielder, Pritchard returns to Ashton United after his first stint during the 2017/18 season. In his first season with the Robins, Pritchard showed his talent from dead-ball situations, even winning the club’s Goal of the Season award following an audacious 30-yard strike against Warrington Town. Pritchard joins Ashton following his time at Chester, where he scored 2 goals in 13 appearances.

Biography: Rowney is an energetic midfielder that has previously played an instrumental part of successive promotions at local rivals, Curzon Ashton. Rowney originally made his debut for Oldham Athletic during the 2009/10 season, and after stints at Mossley and Woodley sports, Rowney joined Curzon in the 2012/13 season, where he went on to reach the Final of the Doodson Sports Cup. During his time, the midfield man went on to make 296 appearances at Curzon, scoring 13 goals during that period.

Biography: Nicky Clee is a vastly experienced left winger who has plied his trade with a handful of Non-League teams including a previous stint with the Robins. He began his playing career with Ossett Albion (now Ossett United) and after moves to Ashton & several other clubs, Clee has returned to Hurst Cross.

Biography: Experienced Midfielder Tom Field joined the Robins this summer from Welsh side Bangor City. Tom has years of experience in the game and has played in the Europa League with Airbus FC.

Biography: A forward-minded player who can also play in the midfield, Wilson started his career with Northwich. Having played a key role in Chorley’s National League North play-off success, Wilson has joined Ashton after scoring 14 goals in 33 games for the Magpies.

Biography: Walters started off his career in West Yorkshire playing for Leeds United. He then went on to sign for Nottingham Forest U-23’s, however made no senior appearances whilst there, although was a regular for U-23’s. Walters was then on loan to Barrow where he made 15 Appearances for the club, scoring once and helping Barrow avoid relegation, however at his time at Barrow Walters also picked up a hamstring injury. After recently being on loan for Buxton, Walters has now joined Ashton United on a 28 day loan.

Biography: Jordan Slew was born in Sheffield and played for his childhood team Sheffield United after breaking through the academy that he joined when he was eleven years old. He also has a couple of caps for the England Under 19’s team. Slew will bring experience for the Robins and give manager Jody Banim an extra option to choose from up top. He played at the highest level whilst at Blackburn Rovers making one appearance in the Premier League.

Biography: Tames joins Ashton United following a scintillating season at Bala Town in the Welsh Premier League. The Liverpudlian forward brags a good goalscoring record, scoring 17 goals in 21 appearances last season. Before his stint a Bala, Tames also showed his goalscoring instincts at Witton Albion where he scored 49 goals in 90 appearances. As well as goals, Tames brings valuable experience having played in both legs of a Europa League qualifying tie against SP Tre Fiori.

Biography: Well-travelled and prolific goalscorer with Football League experience; signed as front-line cover for Ashton in 2015 and scored with his first touch as a Robin – returned to the club in the summer of 2016 after a brief return to former club Radcliffe Borough and was appointed joint manager of Ashton United in September 2016.
