Ashton United travel to Stainton Park to take on Radcliffe Borough following back-to-back wins in the league.
The Robins go flying into this fixture after thrashing Morpeth Town four-one away. In the last five league games, Ashton have won two, drawn one and lost two. Boro, however, are having a more difficult time of late having only won once in their last 5 games losing the last four.
Tyrrell Warren was Radcliffe’s player of the month for December however the team have failed to score in their last three games and havent won a game since the turn of the year. Ashton, however, went on a scoring spree last time out and will be looking to do the same this time around.
Overall, Radcliffe have had the better season as they currently sit in 9th place but have declined recently, leading to a change of managers.
The Robins will be hoping for a much better result from the reverse fixture at home as they fell to a 3-0 defeat to Radcliffe.
When asked if Ashton could make it three wins on the trot, manager Micheal Clegg’s reply was simply ‘why not?’ He believes the key is the increase in confidence in his team.
