Robins look to inflict the blues on the Seasiders.

Ashton United take on Whitby Town on Tuesday night at home. It is back to League action after another successful round in the FA Cup where the Robins hung on for a one-nil win over Yorkshire side Pontefract.

Whitby Town are enjoying league football more than United are so far sitting up at the top of the table in second with goal difference being the only thing keeping them from being top of the table.

With recent results being better than at first, Ashton have now pushed up into 19th place but with it still being tight, early on, a win could push Ashton even further up the table, depending on other teams’ results.

Whitby have also enjoyed success in the FA Cup with wins coming against Widnes and Northwich. They have only lost one game so far this season.

There is a lot of momentum going into this game having gone unbeaten in the last five games, two of those wins coming in the cup, and finally a win in our last league fixture against Mickleover Sports.

Aaron Smith was, of course, booked in the game against Pontefract but it is not 100 percent confirmed yet whether he will feature in the game on Tuesday or not. Josh Wilson will be back and available for selection for the Robins.

Get yourselves down to Hurst Cross on Tuesday night to watch the Robins take on the Seasiders under the lights.
