Robins travel to Witton in search of three points

Ashton United will travel to Northwich to face Witton Albion at Wincham Park in search of a win that will get the Robins back to winning ways.

Saturdays defeat to Lancaster was disappointing for everyone, but the trip to Witton is a chance to put things right again.

The Albion currently sit in 13th place beating top of the table South Shields by 3-1 but recent results have not been going their way, with only one win in their last five league matches.

Ashton were having a good run-up to last weekend by stringing a few wins together and so the Robins look to pick up three points on their travels.

When United last played Albion they did the league double over them by beating them three-nil at home and two-one away, so Ashton will look to replicate that form this time around as well.

Manager Jody Banim said after the Lancaster game that ‘we need a big big performance on Tuesday night.’

Banim wants a more positive game all round saying the team needs to ‘work as a collective’ and ‘work and a team unit not let our heads go down.’

The mentality of the players need to change from the game on Saturday in order to get the right result.

The team needs your support more than ever at this moment in time so why not make your way down to Witton and show your support for the Robins.
